My artwork is organic - constantly evolving with flow of vibrant energy through colour and texture.
I deduce that one of my stronger attributes as an artist, is my creative ability to blend a diverse range of media using undertones of music and the turbulence of life experiences.
The act of creation is usually like a journey; an interactive process between myself, the canvas and the paint.
My work is based on the concept of infusing moods and elements . My paintings are vivid, full of life and colour, because this is what I am. They are a reflection of my inner self; the respect of the life I lead and treasure.

Creating work is much like breathing, you simply do it because you must to stay alive. The creation of my art is a means for me to express my faith in God, glorifying him, and giving him honor through my work. I have always had a love of the Mexican & Greek Iconography. My travels to both countries have enabled me to incorporate their color sense into my imagery. I have felt the desire to convey multiple meanings in much of my work and to provoke thought. Nothing in life is exactly what it appears to be and art in my estimation should reflect the same as life, the unexpected.
I would also like to say," Thanks for all of you who have offered your support and thanks to my Lord that ... read more

The inspiration for my art comes from the universe that surrounds us, and the dreams I had as a boy. The smaller pictures within each piece of art, are pieces of my life, my thoughts, my feelings, my dreams and my wishes. I produce my art in black and white because I like the way the shades vary with each different image I draw. Barbara was always drawing the many animals that her grandfather and mother bought her, even a jackrabbit who lived in their New York apartment and begged at the refrigerator. She also drew women dressed in different clothing out of her imagination.
Barbara grew up in Long Island, New York in a middle class family. After her advanced studies in business, she went on to work for very important people in the theatrical, legal and business world. She never stopped painting and tak ... read more

I have been making Wire Wall Murals on a commission basis since 1972.
A Wire Wall Mural is the final step in a simplification process that starts with a photograph or group of photographs. I make and remake the line drawing to emphasize only the essence of the subject.
I ask, "What is it about this image that's unique." Then I strip away the lines that are not required to convey that "uniqueness." Finally, like the poet who reviews every word, I re-examine every turn and curve as I bend the image into a large line drawing in space. The final installation, a solid line in front of a moving shadow, has scale enough to suit a large space without dominating the room.

Excited about travelling and praising 'il Rinascimento', I enrolled in Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano in Italy. She started painting in the early '70s when her two daughters were very small, waiting until 1980 before seriously pursuing her passion. For the most part, Janet is self-taught. As well, she attended workshops given by watercolour artist June Olsen, Joy Laking, Jack Reid (CSPWC) and marine oil painter Graham "Buzz" Baker.
To this day, she paints in her beloved Stonehurst, Blue Rocks, Lunenburg and surrounding areas, finding something new and exciting each time she does.

As an artist, I want my work to touch your soul and resonate so deeply that it feels intimately familiar to you. I work from life as my life permits, painting the figure, portraits, still lifes, and landscapes.
My subjects are the things that bring delight and joy to me; the things I find compelling and beautiful. When I meet a scene that touches me, capturing and exploring it on the canvas allows me to become more closely acquainted with it. I imagine myself as a storyteller who will then tell the story in my own words, being careful to stay true to the original, and trying to convey to you what captivated me.

My paintings celebrate what I love about the ocean and water -- the light and color, the peace of mind, and the adventure. I work from memories of my childhood spent wandering beaches, saltwater marshes and tide pools of Southern California. I have always been delighted and fascinated by patterns of sunlight on the water, how waves shape the sand, and how winter storms drive the heavy surf up and over the beaches.
Interior and old-house paintings reflect my love of indigenous and eclectic architecture. I strive to capture soul-nourishing places where people live, but which are also natural and comfortable: an old chair on a small brick patio surrounded by the sea and the sky; ... read more

Linda creates art for the pure joy of expressing it and makes a living at doing just that. Her realistic style comes from her heart and has a flare for stepping out of those perfectionist boundaries at times to create paintings that are more simple and flowing.
Children in their innocents to life around them is something she loves to capture in her art. Love for life is a central theme in Linda's art and she strives to be true to this expression. Teaching others to learn arts expressions and ways is also an endeavor in Linda's life.
Keeping things natural gives great joy to the heart when it is based in truth.

Russian born, Luba Sterlikova currently resides in the US and is known to the artistic community as LUBA.
Both Russian and American influences can be detected in her work, as the Eastern vivid colors blend symbiotically with more Western shapes and structure.

As ancient art is bonded to the meaning of important facts of human life in their sacred places at that time, we are hooked up to endless streams of man made images and wander through a world peppered by incidents and images we cannot comprehend any more than the vast unknowns of the ancient world. Sometimes it seems only the heart can best understand much of this or our response to our environment and so I feel expression of emotion key to my art and re-discovery of the inner heart.
